Cavaliers, at sub-.500, to blow up roster at trading deadline?

The Cleveland Cavaliers were a fairly stable franchise during the LeBron James Era, but now that the team is moving into life without the kid from Akron, things aren't expected to be so solid. The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that there aren't any trades currently planned, but if the team can't get itself above .500 at mid-season, there could be a lot of player movement. The Plain Dealer claims that if that's the case, the team will put Mo Williams , Antawn Jamison , Anthony Parker and Jamario Moon on the trading block and is guessing there's a 60/40 chance right now that Jamison will be gone before the trading deadline passes.

Anthony joining Nets, Kings, Timberwolves?

The Denver Nuggets are now really trying to get rid of disgruntled superstar forward Carmelo Anthony and NBA.com has it that he'll likely go to one of three teams . The site reports that the New Jersey Nets , Minnesota Timberwolves , and Sacramento Kings are the three teams that the Nuggets are most interested in trading Anthony, who has one year left on his contract and a three-year, $65 million extension offer on the table from the Nuggets. The only one of those teams that is thought to be possibly on the list of teams Anthony gave to the Nuggets last year is the Nets since it's moving to Brooklyn in a few years and has a basketball-loving owner with some bucks that he's willing to spend

Fesenko returning to Jazz?

Restricted free agent Kyrylo Fesenko could have had a three-year, $9 million deal signed with another team back in July if he were an unrestricted free agent, HoopsWorld reports, but he's not and so he's left in limbo. More than a few teams expressed interest in signing the 7-1 Russian but the Jazz let folks know they would match any offer so none came, the site reports, except for European teams, which are offering between one and two million Euros

Bobcats trying to trade Dampier

When Michael Jordan was running the show with the Washington Wizards , he picked center Kwame Brown first overall in the draft, which pretty much gained MJ a load of criticism rather than franchise-changing player. Now Brown has signed on with Jordan's Charlotte Bobcats as the team tries to unload center Erick Dampier , according to the Associated Press. The team waived Dampier, who came to this summer in a trade with the Dallas Mavericks , in the hopes of re-signing him but Dampier wouldn't agree to a new deal, the AP reports, so now he's on the block but won't go anywhere till after Sept.

Nuggets exec meets with Anthony

Carmelo Anthony hasn't made it clear that he wants to stay with the Denver Nuggets , but the team certainly wants him to stay. So Nuggets exec Josh Kroenke met with Anthony last weekend to try to sell him on staying, according to Yahoo! Sports Adrian Wojnarowski . The 30-year-old Kroenke, who is the owner's son and is likely to take over the team someday, got a taste of the responsibility over the weekend as he presumably tried to convince Anthony to take the three-year, $65 million contract extension rather than become a free agent next summer
