The team is reportedly in the fact-finding stage on Milwaukee Bucks assistant coach Kelvin Sampson. Wojnarowski reports that the Los Angeles Clippers may also have some interest in Sampson, who was a two-time national coach of the year with the University of Oklahoma.

San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich, who worked with Sampson on Team USA in 2002, is supposedly a fan of Sampson as well as being a confidante of Cavs GM Danny Ferry.

ESPN is reporting that Georgetown sophomore 6′11" center Greg Monroe, who averaged 16.1 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game this season, hasn’t decided yet what he’s going to do even though he would likely be picked in the first 10 selections of the draft.

ESPN expects Georgia Tech 6′10" freshman forward Derrick Favors, who had 12.4 points per game on average this year, to go for it and enter the draft.

Finally, Kentucky’s John Wall and Ohio State’s Evan Turner are both telling the world that they don’t know what they’re going to do, but ESPN says the coaches for these players are fully expecting to be watching them on TV next year rather than having them on their respective rosters.

If he does return on time, the paper predicts that it will be for limited minutes since his conditioning is bound to suffer with a three-week break. The Tribune seems to think Noah, in a best-case scenario, won’t be back to his regular form till the playoffs get started in late April.

"I don’t know if you do replace him," Bulls coach Vinny Del Negro told the paper. "He was the second-leading rebounder in the whole NBA (before his mid-January injury). He brings a lot of energy and has a great spirit to the game for us."

Golden State Warriors forward Stephen Jackson(notes) told Dime Magazine on Friday that he wants to be traded. His preferred destination: "Either Cleveland, anywhere in Texas or out here with Al [Harrington] in New York."

Jackson, who received a three-year contract extension from the Warriors last season, said the team knows of his wish to leave. He evidently doesn’t think Golden State is close enough to becoming a contender.

"I really can’t get too much into it right now, but I’m just looking to go somewhere where I can go and win a championship," Jackson said.
